Baton Rouge Murder Suspect Arrested by Task Force

Baton Rouge – On April 8, 2009, Christopher Taylor was arrested in Baton Rouge by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. Taylor was wanted by the Baton Rouge City Police for 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Dangerous Weapon in connection with the shooting death of Labaron Napoleon on June 27, 2008. Napoleon was found shot to death and dumped in Baton Rouge. The murder is believed to be drug-related.

The MLFTF received a CrimeStoppers tip about Taylor’s possible location and focused their search on the Boulevard de Province area. MLFTF Investigators arrested Taylor as he attempted to flee out the rear of an apartment. While conducting a consensual search of the apartment, investigators located a loaded 9mm handgun, over 100 ecstasy pills, and 490 grams of suspected powder cocaine. Taylor was turned over to BRPD Detectives and later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
