More than 3200 Scouts attend 47th Camporee
Brigadier Gen. Michael Linnington, Commandant of Cadets, joined members of the cadet Scoutmasters Council, a cadet club devoted to both Boy and Girl Scouting, in presenting a cadet saber to the overall winning troop, Troop 29 from Newtown, Pa, at the 47th annual Scout Camporee held May 1-3 at West Point's Lake Frederick. More than 3200 scouts attended the Camporee, participating in many activities reflecting both military and scouting skills such as physical training, marching, first aid and land navigation, just to name a few.
