EPA Facilities

EPA's Cincinnati AWBERC facilityThe Office of Administration (OA) seeks to improve the environmental performance of all EPA facilities through energy and water efficiency and resource conservation.

EPA occupies 204 offices and laboratories nationwide. Of these, approximately 57 are large facilities—facilities that are greater than 20,000 gross square feet. The remainder of EPA's facilities are smaller, special purpose buildings and project offices scattered throughout the country. U.S. EPA facilities are either owned by the Agency, owned or leased by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and assigned to EPA, or leased directly by EPA.

EPA Facilities Manual

EPA's standards for planning and managing the Agency's office and laboratory facilities are outlined in the EPA Facilities Manual. View the EPA Facilities Manual and its supporting materials.

These facilities include EPA's 34 reporting facilities (facilities for which EPA directly pays the utility bills), 29 of which are laboratories. All of EPA's reporting facilities are included in the table below along with a few additional, non-reporting facilities.
