Contract (non-Federal) screener positions in the Screening Partnership Program

The Aviation and Transportation Security Act required TSA to establish a program allowing airports to utilize employees of qualified private screening companies, working under TSA oversight, to perform passenger and baggage screening services.  Screeners employed by these companies must meet all employment suitability requirements applicable to federal transportation security officers.
