Hundreds of pills were found in a passenger’s carry-on bag on April 17 after he aroused the suspicion of a BDO team employing Screening of Passengers by Observation Techniques (SPOT) at Tampa International Airport.
After undergoing a whole body image check, Jeremy Haruvi was escorted to a property search table where 22 different prescription drugs were found. Tampa Airport Police charged Haruvi with 22 counts of illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of a forged prescription. He was being held in jail with bail set at $3,875,000.
Tina Edison, Tuesday Brouillete and Steven Suttle were on the BDO team. Tampa FSD Gary Milano said the case was a “great example” of BDOs, TSOs and Airport Police working together to protect passengers.
