The purpose of this exercise is to increase your awareness of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), enable you to describe what AIDS is, how it is contracted, and list its symptoms; describe various stages of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection; and understand the distinction between HIV infection and AIDS. The exercise also covers some common misconceptions, which may be held by some of your workers. Dispelling these myths can help reduce HIV/AIDS-related workplace problems before they have a chance to develop.
