Hurricane Katrina - Aftermath

 

New Orleans, LA - Property damaged by Hurricane Katrina in the Lower 9th Ward / Desire St. Community (New Orleans, LA).  More than 35,000 national service participants contributed more than 1.6 million hours of volunteer service during the first year of hurricane relief and recovery efforts along the Gulf Coast, according to a report released on August 25, 2006 by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
