The Depository Library Council to the Public Printer seeks input from the community about the future needs and strategic vision that will support a viable Federal Depository Library Program for the 21st century. If you have any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions about how the Program could be changed or improved, please send them to me or any other member of the Council.

We really want to hear your insights and experience about how needs of the Federal Depository Library Program are changing (or must change) in an environment dominated by digital government services and citizen outreach.

At the Depository Library Council Meeting in Tampa, FL on April 21st, we will be holding a Strategic Issues Forum to hear input from attendees on strategic issues facing the FDLP. These issues include, but are not limited to, digitization of the legacy collection, distribution of digital files, transparency of Government information through social software, and national online reference service. If you have suggestions for issues that should be addressed during this session, please send you ideas to a member of Council.

Thank you,

Tim Byrne,
Chair Depository Library Council
