The 111th Congress recently passed H.R. 1105, the Omnibus Appropriations Act for FY 2009.

This bill provides for an increase in funding for GPO. Some of the highlights include the following:

After an extended period of relatively flat funding for the Salaries and Expenses Appropriation, it begins to fund several important initiatives of the FDLP.
It also provides $1,000,000 in new funding for continued FDsys development.

FDLP Outreach and Online Educational Training ($100,000)
Modernization of Item Selection Systems & Other Mainframe-based Applications ($150,000)
