DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
THROUGH 1800Z APRIL 29, 2009
Gulf of Mexico: Residual light smoke over the western Gulf of Mexico could be seen rising northward from fires in Mexico in GOES-11/12 satellite imagery. This light smoke had not yet reached the Texas coast though it was detected up to 25N 95W. -Sheffler THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
