DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY

A large area of thin to moderate smoke continues to be pumped out by countless agricultural fires across S Mexico and N Central America. The plume can be seen extending as far north as 27N over the western Gulf of Mexico (west of 88W). This plume extends due south covering all the Bay of Campeche. Gallina THE FORMAT OF THIS TEXT PRODUCT IS BEING MODIFIED. IT WILL NO LONGER DESCRIBE THE VARIOUS PLUMES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ACTIVE FIRES.
