Intergenerational Description of Joint Project:

I teamed up with my grandpa for this project.  We read the directions together and thought about what we wanted to write about.  Grandpa let me choose the subject, and I chose skunks.  I saw a skunk on a fence in Houston when I visited there with my family.  It was funny.  This was why I wrote this story.

Celebration of Rachel Carson’s Sense of Wonder:

For Fathers' Day, I went to my grandpa's house.  We went outside and smelled the fresh air and picked fruit from the trees.  It smelled so nice.  I like being outside with my grandpa.  He teaches me things about trees, plants, and fruit.  I like to make pies with him from the fruit we pick.

Essay:

A skunk puts garbage in the tree.  Then, the skunk puts the garbage in the log.  Then, the skunk throws the log and the garbage out of the lake.  Then the skunk makes a stink by the lake.
