PARTNERSHIPS


1.) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Regulatory Support Division, AFS-600
The Special Programs Division directly supports the training efforts of FAA’s Regulatory Support Division, AFS-600, through budget administration; coordination of registrations/enrollments for participants in Aviation Safety Seminars; logistical, acquisition, and travel requirements for off-site course delivery; as well as, data entry and maintenance of a registration database. Since the origination of the TSI/FAA partnership, over 4000 students have attended AFS training.

The Amatuer Built Design Airworthiness Representation courses is also managed within Special Programs Division.

2.) U.S. Department of Defense (US DoD)

The Special Programs Division is currently the primary provider of Operational Risk Management (ORM) training for the U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Navy. Various other sponsors have included the U.S. Marine Corps, Taiwan Air Force, Delta Air Lines, Inc., and the Allied Pilots Association. Training is conducted at various sponsor-designated locations throughout the United States and abroad. Since the inception of ORM in 1996, classes have been conducted worldwide, training in excess of 7,600 students.

3.) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

The Special Programs Division is working in partnership with the USACE to develop numerous training deliverables that explain the process of Project System Safety and the related business processes found within the Corps of Engineers. Development was completed and implemented in FY03's continued training in FY-06.

4.) U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT),
Office of the Secretary

The Special Programs Division, in partnership with the U. S. DOT Office of the Secretary, offers U.S. DOT Model Courses for purchase through our division office. These Model Courses include both instructor and student handbooks for Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Training and Screening Test Technician (STT) Training.

5.) Department of Interior (DOI)

The Special Programs Division provides a train-the-trainer program for DOI instructors who are responsible for training departmental employees in advanced driving techniques. The Precision Driving Techniques course, which enables drivers to learn and immediately apply various in-vehicle maneuvers, is deemed critical to promoting safety awareness and acquiring the skills necessary to improve driver performance. TSI additionally supports DOI’s driver improvement initiative with a CD-ROM driver-improvement training module for remote site delivery of safe driving techniques.
