Challenges and Opportunities: Braintrust Addresses Workforce Diversity in Transportation
COMTO partnered with Rep. ElijahCummings (D-Md.) to host the 16th Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation/COMTO Transportation Braintrust on Thursday,Sept. 25. About 150 transportation officials, contractors, and other industry leaders gathered at the DC Convention Center on a rainy afternoon to hear five panelists and four members of Congress discuss the topic Less than the Best: The Shocking Reality About Diversityin the Transportation Industry. "COMTO has taken it on as amajor initiative to see diversity in this industry improve," Julie A. Cunningham, COMTO's president and CEO, said in her opening remarks. "COMTO's place at the table is a given, not an option."
