Biology

Management activities at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge are based on the natural biotic and abiotic processes of the ecosystems that occur on the Refuge.  Through applied research and experience, the Refuge has become a leader in wetland and riparian research, restoration, and management in arid environments.  As such, it has been designated as one of 13 Land Management Research and Demonstration (LMRD) sites in the U.S.  Research and demonstration workshops are strong components of the LMRD program.  Click on the links to the right to learn more.
