Mr. Alan Cheng, Marketing Director of Swabplus, is a valued client of ITS Evelyn Coloma and has been working with the client since 2004, counseling on the advantages of the Gold Key service and other USFCS services.  Director Latuperissa provided additional numerous counseling with ITS Coloma during Swabplus visit to the Inland USEAC office including signing up client for the 2007 Asia Pacific Business Outlook conference.  This included providing the CS list of different Commercial Specialists covering the Cosmetic industry for each of the Asian countries including Singapore.

CommSpec. Luanne Theseira was contacted by Mr. Alan Cheng, Business Development Advisor in February 2006 as he was interested to know more about the Singapore market.  She provided him with a general market overview, advised him specifically about the market potential and challenges of his product and explained to him how singapore based companies operate in the region.  Mr. Cheng subsequently confirmed that he would utilize our Gold Key Service (GKS) later in the year.  In March 2006, he signed up to meet then-SCO for Singapore, George Ruffner at the Asia Pacific Business Outlook (APBOC).  Mr. Ruffner provided him with a comprehensive overview of the business climate in Singapore, and its role as a gateway to the neighboring South East Asian countries.  The counseling meeting at APBO was arranged by the Asia Pacific Team.

The Swabplus GKS program was later organized for August 2, 3 & 4, 2006.  CommSpec. Theseira and CommAsst. Jayacely Joseph conducted a search for prospective distributors which resulted in Mr. Cheng meeting with a total of 15 shortlisted companies.  CommSpec. Theseira accompanied him on the meetings.  Most of the firms he met with were interested to market Swabplus in Singapore and the South East Asian region.  As a result of our trade facilitation effort, Swabplus appointed Teeni Enterprise Pte. Ltd.  as their distributor for Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.  Mr. Cheng informed CommSpec. Theseira of his decision via email in late December 2006.  He also said that Teeni may eventually cover Hong Kong and will inform us of this in due course.  He was extremely pleased with the service rendered by the U.S. Commercial Service and even took the time to complete the Quality Assurance Survey sent by HQ.  He wrote "The Gold Key Service provided by U.S. Commercial Service in Singapore is the Best gold key service that we have ever experienced."

CommSpec.  Theseira and CommAsst. Joseph continue to keep in touch with Mr. Cheng and offer him follow-up assistance.
