GSA Announces Leases for President Bush's OfficeGSA # 10565 January 14, 2009 WASHINGTON – On November 7, 2008, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded a 10-year lease for President George W. Bush's office in the Sherry Lane Place building in Dallas, Texas. The office will occupy 8,000 rentable square feet at an annual rate of $38.95 per square foot. The lease will begin in the summer of 2009 when the space is expected to be ready for occupancy. To provide office space for President Bush until the Sherry Lane Place space is ready for occupancy, GSA awarded on December 23, 2008, a short-term lease for 5,328 square feet at The Berkshire at Preston Center building in Dallas. The lease began this week at an annual rate of $34.71 per square foot. In both buildings, GSA's lease includes additional office space for the United States Secret Service; the cost for that space will be reimbursed by the Department of Homeland Security. # # # GSA provides a centralized delivery system of products and services to the federal government, leveraging its enormous buying power to get the best value for taxpayers.
