GSA Assembles Panel of Experts to Discuss Telework Best PracticesGSA #10582 April 6, 2009 The GSA panelists include Casey Coleman, Chief Information Officer; Steven McPeek, Acting Associate Administrator, Office of Performance Improvement; and Wade A. Hannum, Director, Performance & Worklife Policies, Office of Human Capital Management. The 2009 Spring Town Hall Meeting will be held in Washington, DC on April 8. “GSA continues to demonstrate commitment to teleworking and enabling its employees to work productively regardless of location,” said Casey Coleman, Chief Information Officer at GSA. “The agency is realizing benefits from its telework program such as employee work-life balance, improved emergency preparedness and better continuity of operations management. GSA is well into the second year of its three-year Telework Challenge and has continued to improve its management and technology support for telework, such that the agency is ahead of schedule on its way to achieving 50% of eligible employees teleworking.” Topics to be covered at the Telework Exchange include best practices for establishing workable telework policies, secure remote access, program funding and technical support and training, and lessons learned.
