Program Description
The MRC has developed as a centralized repository for volunteer credentialed health care professionals and non-clinical support staff that have been trained in disaster preparedness, with the focus on the public's health. The following have been identified as the primary areas that need MRC volunteers:hospital/facility backfill, CERT teams, Health Services Shelters for the special medical needs populations,local strategic national stockpile management and for DMAT and DMORT teams. At this time, we have recruited 2653 volunteers who can be accessed by the community in times of disaster.
