Program Description
The Big Country MRC (BCMRC) functions through the Sweetwater Nolan County Health Department. The BCMRC is partnered with the following organizations and facilities: Nolan County CERT, Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH), Rolling Plains Rural Healthcare Clinic (RPRHC), Texas State Technical College - School of Nursing, Sweetwater/Nolan County Health Department (SNCHD), Sweetwater Police and Fire Departments, Nolan County Sheriff's Office, City of Sweetwater and Nolan County local governments. The focus of the organization will be to provide medical support to the entities listed above during times of medical surge, pandemic disease outbreaks and disaster emergencies. Currently MRC leadership has been meeting with all the entities listed above, concerning and identifying support needs and opportunities to serve the healthcare community.In the future we hope to be able to assist nearby counties to affiliate with us and create a larger group of related MRCs.
