$1,000 Reward Offered in Hillside
Bombing ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) working in conjunction with the Anchorage Police Department and the U.S. Postal Inspection service is investigating the bombing of a mailbox on Wilderness Drive on the Anchorage hillside. In the early morning hours of August 7, 2003, a small Improvised Explosive Device exploded in a mailbox on Wilderness Drive. No injuries were sustained. Shattered glass was found at the scene, indicating that the bomber may have damaged their vehicle, while planting the bomb. If anyone has information about the Wilderness Drive bombing they are urged to call the Anchorage Police Department Crime Stoppers at 561-7867 or ATF at 1-888-ATF-BOMB.
