OPEN LETTER TO ALL MICHIGAN FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSEES

ATF REQUESTS ASSISTANCE IN CURBING THE FLOW OF ILLEGAL
CRIME GUNS AND REDUCING VIOLENT CRIME IN MID-MICHIGAN

The purpose of this letter is to advise you of ATF’s continued commitment and strong partnership with the Michigan firearms industry and to request your assistance in combating the illegal traffic and use of stolen firearms.

On August 8, 2006, a theft occurred at Guns Galore, a Federal firearms licensee, located at 1414 N. Leroy St., Fenton, Michigan 48430. A $1,000 award has been offered for information leading to the Federal arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s).

There is a list of firearms reported as stolen from Guns Galore, attached to this letter. If anyone contacts you to sell any of the guns on the attached list please contact us immediately. Do not try to confront someone on your own. A good physical description along with a license plate number would be most beneficial to help us catch these thieves.
