What services does this resource provide?
The national network of Regional Centers of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases
support research
focused on countering threats from bioterror agents and emerging infectious diseases.
The Centers also provide core facilities for NIAID biodefense researchers in the region, including those for:
Animal studies
BSL3 containment
Preclinical development activities
Immunological techniques
Proteomics and genomics
High throughput small molecule screening
Microscopy
Aerobiology
Training
Core services vary from Center to Center and are described on the
individual Centers’ web sites.
