Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument

Located at the crossroads of the Cascade, Klamath, and Siskiyou mountain ranges, scientists have long recognized the outstanding ecological values of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM). The convergence of three geologically distinct mountain ranges resulted in an area with remarkable biological diversity and a tremendously varied landscape. Many archaeological and historical sites are also found throughout the CSNM, providing clues to Native American use of the area and tracing portions of the historic Oregon/California Trail. more>>

Rogue River

The Rogue River is located in southwestern Oregon and flows 215 miles from Crater Lake to the Pacific Ocean. The 84 mile, Congressionally designated "National Wild and Scenic" portion of the Rogue begins 7 miles west of Grants Pass and ends 11 miles east of Gold Beach.

The visitor center is on the river near the town of Galice and is approximately 20 miles from I-5 on the Merlin-Galice Road. The center is called the Smullin Visitor Center and is located at the Rand National Historic Site. more>>

Table Rocks

Two of the most prominent topographic features in the Rogue Valley are Upper and Lower Table Rocks. These mesa buttes rise immediately above the north bank of the Rogue River in southwestern Oregon, between Sams Valley and Central Point.

The Table Rocks are visited by more then 10,000 visitors annually. Spring offers the best time for viewing the many different wild flowers and migratory birds. more>>

McGregor Park and Visitor Center

McGregor Park is located 30 miles northeast of Medford, Oregon on the banks of the beautiful Rogue River. The park is situated along the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway (Highway 62) just below Lost Creek Lake and near Cole Rivers Fish Hatchery. Barrier-free facilities at McGregor Park provide access to restrooms, trails, picnic areas, a playground, fishing ramps, interpretive displays, and wildlife and salmon viewing. more>>

Timber Mountain OHV Area

The Timber Mountain Recreation Management Area (RMA) is located on BLM administered lands intermingled with privately owned lands. Off-highway vehicle enthusiasts have used this area for about 40 years and use has increased in recent years. The network of trails in the area has developed as a result of many years of OHV use and passive management of the area. more>>
