Office of the Associate Director
The Office of the Associate Director is responsible for managing several mulit-media and cross-program activities in the Compliance Assurance and Enforcement Division. The office is responsible for strategic planning and enforcement coordination based on environmental risk assessments; tracking and analysis of regional enforcement and compliance activities; lead for the Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS) from the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assistance (OECA). This office also includes compliance assistance, voluntary partnership programs coordination, and pollution prevention. The Office of Planning and Coordination is located in this office and is responsible for the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance. It reviews Environmental Impact Statements and Environmental Assessments (RODs - record of decisions) and issues FONSIs (finding of non significant impacts).
