Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area

Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area is located on a narrow point of land jutting due west into the Pacific Ocean at the north end of Newport, Oregon. This headland provides visitors with one of the most accessible wildlife and ocean viewing locations on the Pacific Coast.

Hours of Operation

  • Park Grounds:
    The entrance gate is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year. Winter hours start November 1.
  • Interpretive Center:
    Summer Hours 9:00 to 5:00
    Fall Hours 10:00 to 5:00
    Winter hours 10:00 to 4:30
  • Lighthouse:
    Summer Hours 9:00 to 4:00
    Fall Hours 10:00 to 4:00
    Winter Hours 12:00 to 4:00
