Devils Postpile National Monument - Operating Hours & Seasons (U.S. National Park Service)

OPENING

The Monument is only open during the summer season. The opening date for the 2009 season is currently set for June 6, although this is weather dependent and subject to change.

CLOSING

The monument officially closed on October 30 for the 2008 season. Weather permitting, the monument is usually open until October 31.

RED'S MEADOW SHUTTLE BUS

The tentative date for the beginning of shuttle operations for the 2009 summer season is Saturday, June 13. This is weather permitting and subject to change. For more information about the shuttle bus and transportation fees, click here.

RANGER STATION HOURS

The Monument's Ranger Station is open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm during the summer season.

Guided walks with a Ranger to the Postpile will be available daily at 11 a.m. starting opening weekend. Other walks and programs may be offered throughout the week. Please call the Ranger Station after June 6 for more information.
