Air Force Personnel Center

Resources include Airman and Family Readiness Center (A&FRC), Air Force Retiree Services Section (AFPC/DPSIAR), which manages the Air Force Retiree Activities Program and the Survivor Benefit Plan, and Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF), which helps Air Force families with emergency aid, educational needs and retirement homes for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.

Army Aviation Association of America

Support for Army Aviation soldiers and families including financial assistance for college-level education of members and spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased members.

Flaum Souksamlane In Loving Memory Foundation

Produces and distributes literature and other materials (videos, games, etc.) for use by children, adults and organizations to provide an understanding of, and assist children with, the grieving process. Also offers college scholarships to children who have had one or both parents die and grants to organizations helping children through the grieving process.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

Provides educational scholarships to children of active duty Service Members who were killed or permanently disabled in action or who are currently certified as POW or MIA. Create an account and apply for a scholarship.

Gold Star Wives of America - Resources

Links to resources for widows/widowers and special resources for widows/widowers of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom (OEF and OIF). Includes counseling services, financial assistance and help with paying for college.

Patriot Guard Riders Fallen Warrior Scholarship

Provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to U.S. military family members of our Fallen Warriors in their pursuit of higher education. One-year scholarships of $2000 are awarded annually, and are limited to undergraduate studies at accredited educational/technical institutions.

Scholarships for Military Children

Scholarships awarded at every commissary for payment of tuition, books, lab fees and other related expenses. Open to dependent unmarried children under age 21 (23 if enrolled as a full-time student) of active duty personnel, Reserve/National Guard and retired military members or survivors of deceased members.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation College Scholarship

Offers college scholarships, financial aid and educational counseling for children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.

Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance

Eligibility, application, benefit period and payment limit information for eligible spouses and children of certain Veterans who can receive benefits for education, training and testing.

Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance (SDEA) Program

Provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain Veterans. A fact sheet on the VA SDEA program is also available.

VA Survivors' & Dependents' Educational Assistance

Provides education, training, certificate and on-the-job training for 45 months to eligible dependents and survivors of certain Veterans.
