NOTICE

TO: CERTAIN DISTILLED SPIRITS PLANTS AND ALCOHOL FUEL PLANTS

PURPOSE:
To inform the proprietors specified below that there will be a change in the ATF technical services office handling their areas.

SCOPE:
Persons operating distilled spirits plants and alcohol fuel plants in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

BACKGROUND:
This change is part of an overall plan to combine five technical services offices into one office, the National Revenue Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. This consolidation will reduce ATF costs while at the same time improve the efficiency of our operations so that we can continue to provide a high level of service to businesses and individuals whose operations are regulated by our Bureau.

CHANGE IN PROCEDURE AND EFFECTIVE DATE:
Beginning on October 1, 1998, all applications, bonds, reports, claims and any other documents which you previously filed with the technical services office in Philadelphia should be filed with the National Revenue Center. The address, telephone number and fax number of this office are:

Any Excise Tax Return, ATF Form 5000.24, that you file on and after October 1, 1998, must be mailed to a different post office box and zip code than those you are currently using. The new address is:
