Vendors Wanted

Advance ETV is now weeking vendors that would like to have their technologies verified concurrently in the US, Canada and Europe.

Advanced Monitoring Systems Center
Monitoring Technologies
The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of monitoring technologies for contaminants in air, water, and soil.Contact: Ann Louise Sumner, Battelle (614) 424-3973 (ETV-AMSCenter@battelle.org)

Air Pollution Control Technology Center
Diesel Engine Retrofit Emissions Control Technologies
This center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of retrofit technologies that control emissions of particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, or carbon monoxide from heavy-duty diesel engines. Technologies include add-on devices such as exhaust catalysts and particulate matter filters, engine modifications, selective catalytic reduction systems, fuel modifications and reformulations, alternative fuels, and lubricants used on mobile diesel engines and some categories of stationary engines. Verification of these technologies, when used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, is of interest to Texas’s New Technology Research and Development (NTRD) Program, as well as others.

Fabric Filter Media
The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of filter media used in baghouses to control fine particulate matter.

Ventilation Air Cleaning or Filtration Technologies
The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of products for cleaning or filtering ventilation air. Verifications can include ASHRAE 52.2-type efficiency testing for particles from 0.3 to 10 microns, efficiency testing for particles from 0.03 to 10 microns, and efficiency testing for bioaerosols (fungi, bacteria, and viruses).

Drinking Water Systems Center
Drinking Water Treatment Technologies

The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of new, innovative, and emerging drinking water treatment technologies and equipment.  Of particular interest are technologies that help to address the following issues and concerns:

  • Water conservation and reuse (e.g., the Great Lakes and other areas have been losing water to evaporation and other effects of global climate change)
  • Reductions in energy consumption and energy efficiency for drinking water treatment, such as the safe use of nanotechnology in treatment or energy recovery systems integrated into treatment equipment
  • Drinking water treatment technologies that reduce the volume, hazard and/or risk of residuals.

Technologies that address one or more of the above issues and also treat, reduce, or remove one or more of the following contaminants are of high priority, should and when funding becomes available:

  • Contaminants regulated under the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule, particularly membrane separation and UV inactivation processes
  • Groundwater Rule, arsenic, radium, uranium and other existing drinking water rules
  • Contaminants being considered, proposed, reviewed, or assessed by the EPA for regulation.

Greenhouse Gas Technology Center
Micro-Combined Heat and Power Technologies
The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of small, residential scale (<10kW) combined heat and power (CHP) technologies. These "micro-CHP" technologies are utilized to provide on-site power generation, space heat, hot water heating, and/or cooling at residences and small commercial facilities.

Biofuels Production Technologies
The center is soliciting vendors, collaborators, demonstration partners, and stakeholders in the field of biofuels production. The center is interested in verification testing of a variety of technologies for the production of biofuels, as well as the environmental impacts of biofuels production and use on greenhouse gas emissions.

Materials Management and Remediation Center
Remediation and Materials Management Technologies
The center is soliciting vendors and collaborators interested in verification testing of remediation and materials management technologies. This includes, but is not limited to, technologies for recycling, beneficial use of waste materials, recovery of useful components of waste, and treatment to minimize disposal requirements. The center will also verify technologies to remediate contaminated land and ground water, such as is found at Superfund sites.

European AdvanceETV Project

The new AdvanceETV project, sponsored by the European Commission, is currently seeking vendors interested in joint verification under the U.S., Canadian, and European ETV programs.  The objective is for participating vendors to receive joint verifications from three programs at once; AdvanceETV will partially fund the verification.  For more information, view the AdvanceETV fact sheet (1 pg, 82 Kb) exit EPA or visit ETV International Participation.

Contact:  Interested vendors should contact one of the following AdvanceETV partners:

  • (Europe) Christian Gron, DHI, at +45 4516 9570 (chg@dhigroup.com)
  • (U.S.) Amy Dindal, Battelle, at +1 (561) 422-0113 (dindala@battelle.org)
  • (Canada) John Neate, OCETA, at +1 (905) 822-4133 (jhneate@etvcanada.ca)
