Welcome to the Wheat Foods Council |
Urban Wheat Field Busts Through Concrete in New York City
Wheat partakes in an amazing journey from the time its seed is planted until its appearance on your plate, and even then the path continues. Once it is consumed, wheat energizes the body, delivering essential nutrients to its cells. We told wheat’s farm-to-fork story by bringing a live wheat field to New York City during The Urban Wheat Field Experience in the beginning of October, and we continue to educate people about the life cycle of America’s most-consumed grain through our Web site.
Click here to experience wheat’s farm-to-fork journey through educational materials and videos, images and blogs from the Urban Wheat Field.
Explore Pasta Around the Globe with World of Pastabilities
In celebration of World Pasta Day on Saturday, October 25th, we invite you to explore pasta’s global influence with World of Pastabilities. You can get a “taste” of pasta in a variety of ethnic cuisines via educational information and authentic recipes for Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican, North African and Russian pasta dishes. You will also learn about the U.S. durum wheat from which pasta all over the globe is made and where America ranks in worldwide pasta consumption.

Learning is Fun with "Just for Kids"
Check out our Just for Kids Web site, a fun, educational resource created for children ages 9 through 12. The site features recipes, games, quizzes and fact-based information about wheat and other grains, enabling children to understand the grain life cycle from crop harvest to health benefits. Click here to view the site.
