Overview

Food and Industrial Oils (FIO) finds and develops new and enhanced uses for agriculturally produced oils. This research teams methods are to modify and blend vegetable oils to increase their functionality, efficiency, and stability for specific fuel, lubricant and food cooking uses. This is resulting in new fuels, fuel blends, hydraulic fluids, greases and lubricant with enhanced stability properties as well as new cooking and food blend oils with specialized functionality and longer storage or use stability.  Learn more about FIO research projects here.
