A law relating to employee assistance programs clarifies that information communicated in an EAP session is privileged and confidential, and that employers do not have a right to this information, nor can they be held liable for information communicated during an EAP session.

Welfare to Work-Screening and Testing
It is the intent of the legislature that the provisions of this act enhance the employability of participants in the temporary assistance for families in Idaho (TAFI) programs through substance abuse screening and, where appropriate, testing and treatment.
