There are two application processes for this program -- one for eligibility and one for grant funding.
You must be designated an eligible institution before applying for funding under this program. The FY 2009 application to request designation as an eligible institution and to request a waiver of the non-federal cost share requirement is available.
Subject to the availability of funds, competitions for this program are held annually.
FY 2008: There was no grant competition in this program in FY 2008. New awards were made by funding down the FY 2007 slate.
FY 2007 application available: July 11, 2007
FY 2007 application deadline: August 10, 2007.
Please note that the FY 2007 competition for this program is closed. The archived application below should be used for reference only.
Below is the "Application Instructions" document that was published on Grants.gov for the FY 2007 competition. The forms required to complete this package are not available in this document. Those forms are only available on Grants.gov while an application is available for submission. For your reference, the Department has provided a forms library. Some of the forms referenced in this document may be found in the forms library.
Field readers are needed for the Title V reader pool. To become a reader, please complete our online application form. If you have read for the Title V program in the past and would like to be considered for future readings, simply enter the on-line application to update your information.
