Eritrea

On December 31, 2005 USAID/Eritrea closed its offices and completed close-out of USAID programs in Eritrea, with the exception of certain humanitarian assistance activities that may continue to be managed by a humanitarian assistance unit located in the embassy. The closeout is in response to the government of the state of Eritrea's request of July 26, 2005 for USAID to terminate development assistance programs in Eritrea.
