Note: The Administration has requested $17,850,000 for the Grants for School-Based Student Drug-Testing Programs in FY 2008, of which $12,750,000 would be available for new grant awards. The actual level of funding, if any, depends on final congressional action. However, we are inviting applications to allow enough time to complete the grant process if Congress appropriates funds for this program. Contingent upon the availability of funds and the quality of applications, we may make additional awards in FY 2008 and in FY 2009 from the list of unfunded applicants from this competition. The Department is not bound by any estimates in this notice.
