Get Involved/Contact Us

Public participation is critical to helping ensure the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has considered the views of the public in the decision on these groundwater development projects.  BLM encourages you to get involved; we want to hear from you.

The first opportunity to get involved was the public scoping period, which extended from March 31, 2006 to May 1, 2006.  Although the deadline to submit comments was May 1, 2006 in order to have the comments represented in the Final Summary Scoping Report, the BLM accepts and reviews comments received throughout the entire process.

In December, 2007 the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) published A Citizen's Guide to the NEPA: Having Your Voice Heard.  This document explains the NEPA process and provides guidance for public participation in the environmental assessment process. To view the Citizen's Guide, please visit http://www.nepa.gov/nepa/Citizens_Guide_Dec07.pdf.
