Santa Fe National Historic Trail
Accessibility

National Park Service areas along the Santa Fe National Historic Trail, including Fort Larned National Historic Site, Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site, Fort Union National Memorial, and Pecos National Historical Park, generally meet accessibility standards for people with disabilities. However, because of the varied nature and rural character of the many certified sites making up the Santa Fe National Historic Trail, it is best that you inquire locally about accessibility when contacting specific sites for visitation information.

Did You Know?
In 1821, the eastern terminus of the historic Santa Fe Trail was Franklin, Missouri; by 1832, Independence, Missouri; and by 1845, at Westport Landing, now Kansas City, Missouri. Textiles and hardware were traded west; silver and mules were traded east.
