and Drug Administration (FDA) FDA
is responsible for ensuring the safety of a variety of
products. Their site contains recalls on food, cosmetics, medical
devices and medicines. The
FDA ensures the safety and effectiveness of biologics (such
as insulin and vaccines) and radiation-emitting
products (such as microwave
ovens). In addition, the FDA regulates the feed and drugs
for pets and farm animals, as well.

the Department of Transportation, NHTSA is
responsible for setting and enforcing safety performance

safety seats, and airbags.
