For People Who Enjoy The Wildlife and Wildlands: Join the St. Marks Refuge Association

This non-profit association was incorporated in April 1987 in order to work with the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge and other interested parties to help promote better understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the natural beauty of the Florida panhandle, particularly St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.

Finances generated through membership fees and the sale of books, photographs, and other educational items through the Refuge bookstore fund association projects. Association activities include upkeep of current hiking trails, establishment of new walking trails, trail leaflets, guides to wildflowers, plants, birds, and wildlife found on the Refuge and the scheduling of regular events, educational programs and volunteer guided tours of the Refuge.

Members may also wish to become volunteers in order to help with Refuge activities. Association members are entitled to a discount on items purchased through the bookstore. The annual meeting is in March. For additional information about the Association and its activities, please go to http://www.stmarksrefuge.org
