Each of the 40 Clinical Centers recruited postmenopausal women for the Clinical Trial and Observational Study. Ten of the Clinical Centers recruited primarily minority populations: African-Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders, and Native Americans. Women from all racial/ethnic groups were encouraged to participate in the study.
