The Council is made up of the same members that serve on the 911 Advisory Board and will include two volunteers. The Council will oversee various volunteer activities such as the development of a Banks County CERT program, Mobile Support and Amateur Radio activities. The Council will continue to work to offer more volunteer opportunities as the need arises. The Council will always give proper oversight and coordination so that safety and liability are always considered first whenever there is a volunteer need. It is our hope to foster a community / team effort and approach to disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery; utilizing volunteer efforts whenever possible and welcoming volunteers as team members in our efforts to provide a safer community for everyone.
