Kosovo Cheese Makers Taste Success
A cheese-tasting event in Gjakove/Djakovica in April produced immediate orders for two Kosovo dairy processors. The promotional event was designed to expose restaurant and hotel owners to several processors, including Abi, Ajka, Rona, and Golaj, and their wares. Golaj received orders for white cheese and Lulja e Sharrit established purchasing agreements with two hotels in Gjakova/Djakovica.
USAID's Kosovo Cluster and Business Support project works closely with dairy processors to reach the highest quality standards for their dairy products and help processors produce new cheeses. The project is implemented by Chemonics International.
