Groundbreaking Campaign Aims to Boost Charitable Giving, Service
The Agency for Social Information unveiled a new public relations strategy to significantly raise public recognition of the work of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Russia. The national awareness campaign is being conducted as part of Building Public Trust in NGOs, a USAID-supported program. Tailored specifically to appeal to Russia’s middle class, the campaign encourages citizen volunteerism and charitable giving through NGOs. Activities of a wide array of NGOs will be highlighted in public service announcements and billboards that feature a unified logo, slogan, and conceptual style. The campaign will launch simultaneously in Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Nizhniy Novgorod, Khabarovsk, Chelyabinsk, and Barnaul in late 2008. NGOs in other regions will also be able to join the campaign.
