Each year, approximately 30 million trees are used to make books sold in the United States—1,153 times the number of trees in New York City’s Central Park. Many of these trees are sourced from endangered forests with devastating impacts on the people and wildlife that rely on them.

- Green Press Initiative

Starting in October 2008, ASHI is launching a new digital initiative designed to save time, money, and minimize the environmental impact through digital publishing. With Digital Publishing, Training centers do not have to order and receive physical shipment of course books. Instructors no longer have to lug books to class.  Yet, each student has anytime access to a personal copy of their course book – for work or for home.  Save money. Save time. Go green.

See for yourself. Click on the book cover to the right to see a sample ASHI digital book. An instruction menu will appear indicating that the digital publishing engine loading. Please allow this to happen, your computer is not being altered in anyway. When it is done, the pages of the digital book should appear. A broadband internet connection is recommended. Explore the viewing options available in the digital format.
