We have a concept and commitment from executive-level participants (Mayor, Police, Fire). Our first meeting will be in September, and we hope to grow from there. Purpose of the Council is to provide strategic direction for the use of volunteers in support of public safety. The Council will meet quarterly. A Citizen Corps Steering Committee, comprised of representatives from all participating organizations, will meet monthly to carry coordinate and plan activities that implement the plan.
