The Council has an active CERT group that will number almost 600 by the end of 2008. The Santa Paula Police Department has an active Citizens Patrol (VIPS) that is expanding in numbers and usage within the community. The Neighborhood watch has been a part of the community for many years and is advancing in the numbers of neighborhoods and participants. Santa Paula Citizen Corps Council meets monthly and works aggressively to organize and implement preparedness and readiness within the City of Santa Paula.
