It was created to formalize and advance the objectives and purposes and the mission of the Citizen Corps as articulated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Council's membership shall consist of the Village President, or designee, municipal public safety and management officials, representatives of the business community, school districts, faith based organizations, transportation providers, and civic organizations. The Council is encouraged to make recommendations and assist in the developmnet of programs that support the ability to mobilize the citizens of Bufflao Grove to volunteer to help prepare for local and national emergencies, and to assist the activities of the various units of local government and first responders.
