They have formed the Sheriff's Community Action Taskforce. This was organized in 1991. Concerned citizens meet monthly with representatives of the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department. These representatives are from the Neighborhood Watches and communities that bring concerns from the communities to the Sheriff's Department.
