The Division of Transplantation oversees national systems and programs that facilitate solid organ and unrelated blood stem cell transplantations and that promote solid organ and blood stem cell donations.This includes the management of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) contracts as well as national coordination of organ and tissue donation activities.
